How to get free steam games

I will be honest with you from the start, I created this website in order to get you as my referral in a website where you can get steam games for free. I won't ask anything of you not even your email or Facebook like. I only hope that if you find this information useful you will sign up under my referral link. It doesn't change a thing for you if you do so, but it helps me a lot!

The site where you can get free steam games is called Tremorgames and while it does look sketchy at first glance, it is legit, I have claimed over 15 steam games from them.

Edit: For the past few months I've been giving away most of the games I get on tremorgames, so you might not see them on my steam profile (You can definitely see older games on my steam profile though). But you can check my steamgifts profile and see that I really give them away there, and you can still earn games easily yourself.

Many Triple A titles are also available on Tremorgames, such as Borderlands, Assassins Creed, Civilization V and many others. You are not limited to just lesser know titles, like in the pictures above.

How to begin?

In Tremorgames, you earn tremorcoins which you can then spend on steam games, among other things (more on that later).

You earn tremorcoins by doing various things, like watching youtube videos, doing some surveys, downloading applications on your smartphone and many other things. You also earn tremorcoins by just logging in daily and as your account gets older you will earn more tremorcoins from each daily login. I will explain all this in detail below.

How to earn tremorcoins?

1. Complete offers

Offers are like tasks once you complete them you get rewarded with tremor-coins. There are a lot of offers, just make sure to browse through all the available tabs,  see picture below.

By Downloading Apps
In my opinion this is one of the easiest ways to earn tremorcoins, if you have Android phone or Iphone, or better both, you can just download apps, open them once, collect your tremorcoins and delete the app.

By Watching videos
As simple as that, you can watch some videos and get tremorcoins for that. It's usually not a lot of coins, but these videos don't take up a lot of your time either.

By playing video games
You can actually get tremorcoins for you games by playing other games. Not all of the games are great, usually you have to get to level 3 or 5 in some Facebook game, but sometimes there are decent games, for example some time ago you could get tremorcoins by playing world or warplanes MMO.

By doing surveys
Probably everyone hates surveys these days, but you can do them in order to get some coins. Survey or two isn't that bad if you can get some sweet games after. :) 

Buying a service or product
Sometimes you can get tremorcoins by buying services or products you may need or are interested in. For example, you can get around 1300 tremorcoins if you buy something from fiverr.com or by buying a subscription to videostripe.com. Both of these sites are legit and I have actually bought some stuff from fiverr.com myself. Sometimes there are offers where you can subscribe for trial period, cancel it just before trial ends and get a decent amount of coins.

Before you start completing offers please keep this in mind. While tremor games itself is a great site they aren't providers of these offers, they come from a 3rd party.  I've heard that there have been some bad offers, but I have never encountered one. Just use your best judgement when considering an offer.

For example, there is an offer worth 13 000 tremorcoins (which is a lot), but you must go to a site and buy a subscription with your credit card. I would generally stay away from offers like these. I'm not saying that this offer is necessarily bad, but again, just use your best judgment when considering an offer like this.

Another example, there is an offer worth 1 334 tremorcoins where you must go to to fiverr.com spend 5 dollars on  the site and you will get rewarded with 1 334 tremorcins. I have personally used fiverr.com and know that it is a legit company, so  this is an offer I would consider doing.

Don't worry, there are a lot of offers where you don't have to spend a single cent!

2. Log in daily

Just by logging in each day you will get tremorcoins. At first you will get 1 coin a day but the amount will increase as you account gets older, up to 5 coins per day. It may seem as nothing, but even little amounts add up 5 coins * 365 days = 1825 coins. Also, you can get 5 extra coins in a day just by completing any offer. Add that up with daily log in bonus and you get a decent amount of coins, just for visiting the site daily.

3. Play flash games on site

They have a lot of flash games on their site and by playing them you can earn tremor coins. Unfortunately this is region restricted and I can't access them, so I don't know a lot about them. Which regions are not restricted you ask? Well, I'm not sure, but my guess is USA and Western Europe

Please note, that you can only earn coins by playing "Achievement" games, other games won't earn coins for you. (A big thanks to Levan Qarqusauli for pointing this out!)

4.Trade your Steam items

You can trade your Steam items such as emoticons, trading cards, TF2 items, CS:GO items, Dota 2 items. Be prepared to do some math as some items are more profitable than others, but they have a list of items they are accepting and the corresponding price, so calculating that shouldn't be a problem. Item trading is done with their automatic trade bot, which may seem  a little overwhelming at first, but If I could do it so can you! You can find additional instructions here.

What to do with tremorcoins?

The most obvious answer - get some steam games, but this isn't the only thing you can do with your tremorcoins, head over to Tremor Rewards page where you will find a list of latest rewards (1) or look for other reward types (2). I think the names of the categories I pretty self explanatory. I would suggest to check Rewards page every few days (They add new stuff quite often), since sometimes you can get really nice games for very small amount of tremorcoins.

How to purchase games or other items?

Go to Tremor Rewards section and choose the item subcategory you are interested in (1.) or view latest items (2.). They add new items quite often.

Once you see something you like, press on view item and then press the purchase button. Unfortunately you will have to wait for some time before you will get your item, because they confirm each purchase manually. It may take up to 48 hours, but In my experience, it usually happens a lot faster.
If you are buying games for Steam, always make sure that the item you are purchasing has "Steam game" at the end, sometimes there are games for other platforms as well, like origin, desura and even DRM free.

You can see purchase status by visiting Favorites -> Items

Once the item has been confirmed, you will get a message from tremorgames (see picture below). In this message you will find instructions on how to get your item. They don't send email confirmations, so you will have to return to site in order to check if the message has arrived.

What else is there to know?

I tried to cover all the important aspects of the site, but there are two things left I would like to mention:

1. On tremorgames there is a section called giveaways, where you can win steam games and sometimes even more tremorcoins. Usually they have several of them a day, so I recommend to visit this section at least once a day.

2. As usual, USA gets more offers for which you can get tremorcoins, and usage of VPN may be tempting, but use caution with this, since you can get banned easily. My first tremorcoins account got banned, but I wasn't smart about it, because I registered first and started to use VPN only after first few days, which they found out easily and banned me. If you start using VPN from the start you should be fine.

I completed an offer, but didn't get tremorcoins, what now?

If you complete and offer but don't get tremorcoins (sometimes it happens):
1. Be patient, there are times when completed offers aren't credited instantly, but no longer than 24 hours.

2. If you don't get credited after 24h you will, unfortunately, have to provide some kind of proof that you have completed the offer. For example, there were a few times when I installed mobile apps on my smartphone, but didn't get tremorcoins, so I photographed my phone, with the installed app visible and sent that photo to support, after which they credited me with missing tremorcoins.
